Instagram has announced a couple new features for the social network today, including the ability to upload videos that are up to 60 seconds in length.

According to the Facebook-owned social network, time spent watching video over the last six months has increased by 40%. Because of this, they want to make it easier for you to show off your favorite moments.

We want to bring you fun, flexible and creative ways to create and watch video on Instagram. As part of our continued commitment, you’ll soon have the flexibility to tell your story in up to 60 seconds of video. This is one step of many you’ll see this year.

According to an interview with Caixin, Microsoft's Chinese government-approved version of Windows 10 is now ready.

The special version of Windows was announced at the 2015 World Internet Conference Wuzhen in December, forged from a joint venture that was formed between Microsoft (49% stake) and China Electric Division (51% stake). Microsoft's head of China operations Ralph Haupter said that the product will be called Windows 10 Zhuangongban (Specially-provided Edition).

Google is reportedly working on its own entry into the live streaming app space with a new app for Android and iPhone dubbed YouTube Connect. Meant as Google's answer to the popular Periscope and Facebook Live, VentureBeat reports that YouTube Connect would allow users to instantly begin live streaming from anywhere with their smartphone:

YouTube Connect has much of the same functionality that you'd already find with Periscope and Facebook Live, according to a source close to the matter. You can log into the app using your Google or YouTube account and immediately begin streaming from your mobile phone. There are chat and tagging features, and a "news feed" that features the latest clips from your friends or those that you've subscribed to on YouTube.

Twitter for Windows 10 Mobile and desktop has finally been updated with some much-needed features. Twitter is overhauling its Windows 10 app today, and that means that users with Windows 10 phones will be receiving an update that brings all the latest Twitter features. Moments, GIF support, group chat, and muting are all now fully supported, and Twitter is also bringing improvements to the desktop side.
