You can change the Menu’s size and shape. The start menu will adjust its size by default based on the resolution of the screen. Just mouse over to the corner of the Start menu and resize it like you could do with any other window by dragging in, out, up or down to make it adjust to any dimensions you desire that is tall and slim or short and wide.
