Howto Create a Distribution List or Mailing List in Zimbra mail server

Step 1
Log into your Zimbra admin account through https://mail.yourdomain.com:7071/ or your known server name.
Step 2
On Dashboard click on Manage (Left Hand Side menu)

Step 3
Under Manage Click on Distribution Lists.
While in Distribution Lists click on New (Under settings icon next to Help) at Right Hand Side of the panel

Step 4
Under New, a popup interface will appear with options you are to fill in the areas as advised here
Major areas to fill in
- List Name
- Display Name
- Add Members to this list - here you search from your already existing users.
NOTE: After a search double click or use add selected on that user to have him/her added in "List Members" section

Click Next
Step 5
Setup your Distribution List on how you want users to be subscribed or unsubscribe.
Also adding a note of welcome is crucial

Click Next upto Owners
Step 6 - Add Owner
The distribution list must have an administrator to carry out different tasks of management.
NOTE: Recommended to have atleast 2 members to avoid any delays in any required approvals.

Congratulations your distribution list has been created. Well go ahead and test
