Most times we redirect the entire email account to another email address making all content visible to the other person. But this time what if we want certain senders to be redirected to another email address.

Well it is very possible and can be configured in Cpanel under Email Filters. And below is how you can achieve it.

Step 1: - Login cPanel

Login Cpanel -> under Mail section click Email Filters.

Step 2: Email Filters

Under Email Filters -> choose a user (email address) you are to create a redirection for in our case is  jbheki@yourcompanyname.com wants to redirect emails from Government Tax body collections@taxbodygov.com  to a company accounts@yourcompanyname.com  email address.
Click on Manage Filters

Create and manage email filters for an email address that you specify. This can be useful if you want to avoid spam, redirect mail, or pipe messages to a program.

Step 3: Create Filter

Under manage filters -> click on Create a New Filter

Step 4: Configure a Filter

Under your create a new filter for jbheki@yourcompanyname.com, fill in the details :-

Filter Name - can be a name that helps you identify the filter.

Rules - put the email you are filtering in our case "jbheki@yourcompanyname.com";.

Actions - whose emails are to be redirected away from your account. In our case it is collections@taxbodygov.com

Choose "Redirect to Email" option and click on Create.

Once you click on create, the filter will be successfully created.

NOTE:

  • No email copy will stay in your inbox that means all emails will be redirected that come on your account.
  • The best thing is to ADD another action inclusive of your email address if you want to get another copy.
